What we stock
Most men walking into a coat pant shop in Deoria are shopping for one of four things. Knowing which one you are saves an hour of trying on the wrong rack:
| Style | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Two-piece suit | Office, interviews, guest at a wedding | The workhorse. Navy or charcoal will carry you through years of occasions. |
| Three-piece suit | Engagement, reception, being the groom's brother | The waistcoat is what makes it read as formal in photographs. |
| Tuxedo | Reception, cocktail, sangeet | Satin lapel and a bow tie. One function per year — often better rented. |
| Blazer | Semi-formal parties, festive dinners | Pairs with trousers you already own. The cheapest way to look dressed up. |
Getting the fit right
A cheap suit that fits beats an expensive suit that does not, and it is not close. Four checks we run on every customer before they leave:
- Shoulder seam. It should end where your shoulder ends. This is the one thing that cannot be altered cheaply — everything else can.
- Sleeve length. About half an inch of shirt cuff showing. More looks borrowed, less looks outgrown.
- Button stance. With the top button closed there should be no X-shaped pull across your chest.
- Trouser break. A single soft fold over the shoe. Bring the shoes you will actually wear.
Buy or rent?
We do both, and the honest answer depends on how often you will wear it. Rent the tuxedo or the heavily embroidered wedding suit you will use once. Buy the navy or charcoal two-piece — you will reach for it again within the year, and a suit that has been altered to your body will always sit better than one that has been altered to somebody else's.
Colour, by occasion
- Daytime wedding or engagement: lighter greys, beige, powder blue.
- Evening reception: black, midnight blue, deep maroon.
- Office and interviews: charcoal or navy, plain weave, minimal sheen.
- Festive and party: bottle green, wine, or a textured jacquard blazer over black trousers.
